The two day's training programme on Gas Sales Rules 2004 and Gas Laws 2010 was held on 5th and 6th February , 2011 in the training room of Jalalabad Gas head office, Mendinbag, Sylhet. Engr. M. Moinuddin, the General Manager of the Marketing Division was the key speaker. About 30nos of officers from different regional offices participated in it. The concerned DGM's participated in the training as the speaker as well.

The two day's training programme on the design, operation and maintenance of Gas Regulating & Metering Station (RMS) was held on October 30-31,2010 in Jalalabad Gas head office. About 102 nos of officers and employees of the Company participated in the training course. The General Manager of the Marketing Div, Operation Div and some other senior officers took part as the trainer in the programme.

The 3 days training programme, on Public Procurement Law-2006 and Public Procurement Rules-2008 with its latest amendment, was held on March 6 to March 8, 2010 in Jalalabad Gas conference room. It was arranged by M/S Alokon Biztech Ltd, Dhaka. 60 nos of officers of different levels participated in the programme. The programme was ended with a ceremony of awarding certificates by the Managing Director of the Company to the participants.

1. Human Resource Information System in the Company was inaugurated by its Managing Director Mr. Sufi Hosain Zulfiqar Rahman on May 24, 2009.
2. The Managing Director and other senior executives of the Company delivered their speech describing the importance of the system and stressing on the regular updating of the database.

1. A Short-term training course on Gas Connection and Safety Rules was arranged in Jalalabad Gas Head Office (Gas Bhaban), Sylhet by Bangladesh Petroleum Institute, Dhaka from May 03 to May 07, 2009. 48 nos. of employees of Jalalabad Gas were trained with the course. A Certificate Award Ceremony was arranged on May 07, 09. Mr. Sufi Hosain Zulifqar Rahman, M.D, Jalalabad Gas is delivering his speech on the occasion. The Director-General of BPI Mr. A. F. M Bakhtiar, other officials of BPI and senior officials of Jalalabad Gas were present in the ceremony.
2. Mr. M. Moinuddin PEng., G. M. (Planning), JGTDSL was one of the trainers in the Course. He is delivering his speech on behalf of the trainers.

1. Dr. Mollah Md. Mobirul Hossain is transferred from the post of Managing Director of Jalalabad Gas and joined as the Director (Planning), Petrobangla. A farewell meeting was arranged in the Company auditorium on February 15, 2009. Newly joined Managing Director of the Company Mr. Sufi Husain Zulfiqar Rahman is handing over of the Company crest to the outgoing MD.

The Gas Sales Agreement (GSA) between Jalalabad Gas and Barkatullah Electrodynamics Ltd. was signed on June 22, 2008. The power plant will be established in Fenchugonj, Sylhet and will generate 50 MW Power. As per GSA , the power Company will require gas at the flowing rate of 11.50 million cubic feet per day.
The Gas Sales Agreement (GSA) between Jalalabad Gas and Desh Cambridge Power Co. Ltd. was signed on June 02, 2008. The power plant will be established in Kumargaon, Sylhet and will generate 10 MW Power. As per GSA , the power Company will require gas at the flowing rate of 2.50 million cubic feet per day.

project “Gas supply to Sylhet C. C Power plant and
Shahjalal Fertilizer
Factory”.

1. The pipeline laying is already completed. Cup-brush Pig is ready to be passed through the newly installed pipeline to clean the pipeline from water and dust. Necessary instructions on launching procedure and safety measures is being expressed at working site to avoid complicacy and unwanted situation.
2. Cup-brush Pig is already entered into the Pig-launcher to pass through the pipeline.
3. Gauging Pig is ready to be passed through the pipeline to clean the internal pipeline surface from welding chips and others.
Progress on the Construction of 8˝ DN 11 Km Pipeline from Debpur to Kumargaon under the ADP project “Gas supply to Sylhet C.C Power plant and Shahjalal Fertilizer Factory”.

The power plant will be established in Shahjibazar, Hobigonj and will generate 86 MW Power. As per GSA , the power Company will require gas at the flowing rate of 20 million cubic feet per day.

M. Moinuddin, PEng., General Manager of Jalalabad Gas has recently achieved the degree Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Leading University, Sylhet. He has been awarded the Chancellor Gold Medal for his outstanding result in MBA in the first convocation ceremony held on September 17,2006 in Jalalabad Gas Auditorium. Education Minister Mr. M. Osman Faruque on behalf of the Presidentof the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh awarded the Gold Medal to Mr. Moinuddin.

Petrobangla.Chairman M. Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan visited the head office of Jalalabad Gas T&D System Ltd. on 24th February, 2006. During his visit, he inaugurated the IT Cell of the Company at the second floor of the Gas Bhaban. The Managing Director of the Company Engr.Atiqur Raman, the General Managers and some other officials were present in the inauguration ceremony.
1. M. Musharraf. Hossain Bhuiyan, Chairman, Petrobangla visited the Jalalabad Gas head office in Sylhet on February 24, 2006 and he was briefed the activities of the Company displayed in the conference room.

Jalalabad Gas Officers Welfare Association organized a function in JGTDSL auditorium on 23rd Sept, 2004 to give farewell to A. K. M. Shamsul Alam, Ex-General Manager (Planning) and Mr. Abul Kashem Mojumder, Ex-General Manager (Finance) on first one's retirement from his service and second one's leaving the job with a view to join the other job. Managing Director of Jalalabad Gas Engr. Atiqur Rahman, was present in the function.
